Password Masking - UX meets Security
This is a very interesting and controversial article.
Athony T makes a very compelling argument for keeping passwords mask on login forms but unmasking password on signup forms.
I think its probably best to have the default setting on signup forms as the password being masked, but a check box underneath allowing the user to “Show Password”
